Getting Started with CableHero #

 

Now that you know what CableHero is and how it can assist with your electrical design projects, let’s walk through how to get started. This guide will help you set up your account, create your first project, and begin using the platform’s key tools.

1. Creating an Account #

To start using CableHero, you’ll first need to create an account.

Step 1: Visit the CableHero homepage and click on Sign Up.

Step 2: Fill in your details including your name, email address, phone number, and password.

Tip: Make sure to use a valid email address so you can access your saved projects later.

2. Setting Up Your First Project #

Once you’re logged in, you can start by creating your first project.

Step 1: Click on Create New Project from your dashboard.

Step 2: Fill in the necessary project details:

  • Project Name: Use a clear and descriptive name to easily identify your project.
    ✅ Example: 100kW Rooftop – Sydney CBD

  • Project Description (Optional): Include a short summary of the project’s purpose or scope.
    📝 Example: Design for a 100kW rooftop solar PV system for a retail complex in Sydney. Includes inverter layout, cable sizing, and voltage drop analysis.

3.  Accessing Your Projects #

After submitting your project details, you’ll be redirected back to the dashboard where your new project appears under MY PROJECTS.

You can now click on the project to begin your calculations and electrical designs.

  • Step 1: After logging in, click on Create New Project from the dashboard.
  • Step 2: Fill in the necessary project details:
    • Project Name: Name your project for easy reference.
    • Project Description: Give your project a description.
    • Type of Installation: Choose the installation type (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.).
    • Cable Specifications: Define your cable’s voltage, current, and other parameters.
